Bad Loss :( Great Night :) Emoticons are fun!

Perhaps some of you have heard of a little something called the AL Central. If you haven't, the AL Central is a Division in baseball containing the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Minnesottassaootta Twins, and Kansas City Royals. Entering today my team (The Tigers) was a game and a half out of first place. However, we lost the game. Now we are 2 and a half games back. That sure is an easy math problem to solve, you can use adding or subtracting. They are way easier than division or multiplication.

Can anyone help me solve a proof?

Some thoughts on Today's game.
*Nate Robertson pitched great. He played a really long time and no runs scored. Good job Nate. After the game, I asked Nate if I could try on his glasses to see what I could look like with glasses. He said no but I reached for his face and tried them on anyway. Being on a baseball team is kind of like being in a family, you can touch each other's faces and they won't mind.
*It was a day game in Detroit today. I wore sunglasses out during the first inning. I looked really cool. Have you ever noticed how cool sunglasses make people look? I felt like Tom Selleck in Centerfield.
*In sad news we traded Craig Monroe today. I will miss him. Once I asked him to go to Arby's and he went an d couldn't eat all his chicken fingers and gave me the last chicken finger.
*Before the game today I talked to Joel Zumaya (not in Spanish, although he has a Latin surname, Joel can speak English). I suggested he use the "Zoom Zoom" song from the car commercials as his entrance music. I bet we would have won if he used my suggestion.

I was feeling down because of the loss and because I got my good sneakers dirty so I decided to go to a little hole in the wall restaurant called "Denny's" for dinner. It looked unfamiliar so I decided to give it a shot. Long story short, I got pancakes, FOR DINNER! I know they aren't usually on the dinner menu bnut I asked the waitress very nicely and she winked and told me my pancakes were going to be right up. I've always wanted to have pancakes for dinner. It was great to try them for dinner. I think I'll try them again tomorrow. I might even ask for the Curtis Granderslam Breakfast. It will be a joke. LOLZIEZ!

There are some perks of being a major leaguer that I don't think I'll ever get used to.

Dear Online Diary,

Hello Friends. Hello Internet. How are you today? I'm fine. Maybe a little hungry.

This is my first ever web log post. It is also my first blog post. "Web log" and "blog" are the same thing. The word "Blog" is an abbreviation. Is "blog" a word? It could be, but I must say that it stinks of slang to high heaven. Slang scares me.

I learned about "web blogs" yesterday. I was at Comerica Park because I work there. I got to work early and was walking around the outfield (I can't stand the clubhouse due to Mr. Leyland's second hand smoke. YUCK!). Anywhoo, I was walking and a fan said "Hey Curtis, nice blog". What a nutball comment! I don't have a blog. I didn't even know what a blog was. Intrigued, I asked in a cordial, polite, cordial manner "What's a blog?". The fan laughed and said "You should know. You have one on Espn.com". The fan and I stood around for 10-15 seconds, a very good time period for awkward standing around, and I went to check the interweb. LOLZIEZ! Interweb is a funny phrase. I think I heard it on "The Simpsons". I hear lots of funny stuff on "The Simpsons". AY CARAMBA!

I heard a Simpsons movie came out. I would like to see it. Does anyone know of any movie theatres in the Detroit area?

Sure enough, a blog (LOLZIEZ) was up on Espn.com under the name Curtis Granderson. I read through the racy, controversial, offensive blog with one thought going through my head. "Who the heck is Aunt Bobbie? I don't have an Aunt Bobbie. I must not have written this." I guess this is what people mean when they say "Identity Theft". I wonder if this Aunt Bobbie had her identity stolen.

ANYWHOO...

In order to set the record straight about my life, team, and opinions I've decided to blog honestly and candidly about the Curtis Granderson experience. Welcome to the roller coaster people. Buckle up and let's ride!

-Curtis
